The Heughligans contests are now closed!

The Heughligans are not the only ones giving out Pocket Jamies. Check out these contests by other groups as well.

Starz has very graciously provided the Heughligans with several Pocket Jamies to give away so that more people will be ready for their March Pocket Jamie contest. For maximum fun, we’ve designed a bunch of contests of different types to give everyone a chance to win. We’ll be running a different one every day for eight days. They’re all very different and so hopefully there will be something fun for everyone.

Here’s a schedule, so you can plan ahead. Come back to this page every day for the specifics on entering each contest. Please read the rules at the bottom of the page.

Each contest will open at approximately midnight Scotland time (aka GMT) on the dates below.

Day One (2/19): Why I NEED a Pocket Jamie. How entertainingly can you explain why you need a Pocket Jamie in your life? In under 140 characters. Think about this and we’ll provide instructions on Day One. There will be public voting to determine the finalists and then a panel of judges will determine the winners. Details here.

Day Two (2/20): Word Search . An Outlander-themed Word Search puzzle. If you find all the words, the remaining letters will give you the password you need to enter the contest. Winners will be chosen by a random drawing from the correct entries. One entry per person. Details here.

Day Three (2/21): Insert Pocket Jamie here.  There is obviously a Pocket Jamie-sized hole in your life. For this contest you’ll submit your creative pictures showing where a Pocket Jamie should be. You can plan your pictures now, we’ll provide submission instructions on Day Three. There will be public voting to determine the finalists and then a panel of judges will determine the winners. Day Four (2/22): Outlander Hide N Seek.  An online Hidden Object game with an Outlander theme. Winners will be chosen by a random drawing from the correct entries. One entry per person. Details here.

Day Five (2/23): Starz Collage. We’ve put together a collage of pictures from several Starz Original Series. Then we’ve asked some questions about it? How well can you do?

Day Six (2/24): Treasure Hunt. Inspired by Black Sails on Starz, we’ve designed a treasure hunt for you. You’ll be given clues to pages on various Outlander sites which will contain pieces of the treasure map. When the contest opens, you’ll be told what to do with these. Winners will be chosen by a random drawing from the correct entries. One entry per person.

Day Seven (2/25): Unique character contest. The goal of this contest is to pick an Outlander character that no one else chooses. To enter this contest enter a name of a character from any of the Outlander books (except for The Space between because I can’t search that one electronically). Everyone who chooses a name chosen by no one else will be entered into the random drawing for a Pocket Jamie. Everyone can choose up to 5 names for this contest.

Day Eight  (2/26): Who Said that? We’ll give you an Outlander quote and a list of names and you choose the name of the person who said it. One entry per correct answer. Winners will be chosen by a random drawing from the correct entries. Only one set of quiz answers per person will be counted.

Rules and Notes:

Please enter as many of the contests as you like, but we are limiting winning to one pocket Jamie per person. If you aren’t interested in winning a Pocket Jamie, but want to play anyway, that’s fine too. Just tell us if you happen to win and we’ll pick someone else.

Do not share answers with others- that takes away the fun and will disqualify you if discovered. You may only enter each contest once.

As soon as the winners have been drawn or chosen they will be notified. If we do not hear back from a winner within 48 hours a new winner will be chosen. The prizes will be sent out as quickly as possible once we have a mailing address.

This contest is worldwide. You can enter and win from anywhere and anytime. Note delivery times for packages in the 18th century are considerably longer.
